help, i swapped in a d16z6 into an 88 crx si. i used the z6 block, head, intake and distibutor wired to the a6 eng harness. i wired up the p28 plugs to the crx dash harness using storminmatt's wiring conversion chart.
here's the problem i can get the starter to crank the motor but the motor wont run. i put a timing light to the spark plug wires, this showed me i got spark. i also think i got fuel because when i first put the a6 injectors on the z6 manifold the o ring seals were bad so fuel squirted all over the intake manny (which injectors should i be using with the p28? a6 or z6?). i tried different timing positions on the distributor. i am praying to the vtec gods that i can get my baby runnin b4 my tax return because if i can then i'm gonna buy her a clutch (dual friction enough?) and a nos kit! can anyone help me make this happen by giving me advice or hookin me up wit some useful links? thanks in advance for any help you guys can throw my way...

Hold on what ecu are you running??? Cuz if you are running a non obd ecu then you will need to use the non obd injectors and distributor, if you are running the obd1 ecu then you will need to use the obd1 injectors and distributor. So hope this helps.

yeah p28 is obd1. so you need the z6 injectors and distributor.

HELP! ah problem again. damn listen i was checkin the wiring diagram in my chilton repair manual and it shows a resistor box for the a6 injectors but not the z6 injectors, i figured this accounts for the different power ratings of the injectors. the part that i am dumb about is where is the resistor box??? and how do i wire my z6 injectors without the resistor, like which wire do i tap into and where? i see in the diagram that the wire that replaces the injector resistor box comes from the z6 heated oxygen sensor. i only wired in the white (hot) wire on the new oxygen sensor, does this mean i have the wire up all 4 wires? sheez i suk so bad i hope im not askin any stupid questions.

...as far as the injector resistor box...its on the upper right corner of the engine bay...a little aluminum box w/ fins. pull it out and cut the plug off that's going into it...take the 5 wires that were going into the plug and solder or connect them together well.... that's it.

YES!!! SUCCESS!!! check this i swapped injectors wired the injector wires (did away with injector box) and she fired right up!!! how sweet is that? you guys f_in rule! damn thanks so much! but now i got another dilemma. sorry if you guys are gettin tired of me but you've been awesome so far. when i wired eveything up she started right up and after just about 2 seconds she revved all the way up to 4500 rpms. needless to say i shut down pretty quick. i know i have to play with the timing but that is not gonna bring the revs anywhere near that high. i am gonna double check all my wires, especially that idle air control valve? neway, can anyone shout out any ideas on what they may think is causing my extremely high idle? could a vacuum leak cause this? thanks again in advance.
